What's in my Travel Wash Bag?

I'm quite nosey and I really love to know what is in people's things so in the true spirit of practicing what you preaching here is my "What's in my Travel Wash Bag"!

First off, I'm going to give a mention to my incredibly precious wash bag it is by Paul Smith - I bought this on sale years ago but I will link some similar Paul Smith ones here - and while his exhibitions about him was in Glasgow a year ago I went along to his book signing with this and got it signed! First of all he was an incredibly nice person who was so warm and secondly he talked to everyone for a lot longer than he was allowed! As such this wash bag is one of my prized possessions and I'm  very attached to it.

I try and take a variety of products with me to be able to easily adapt my routine to whatever life throws at me and I definitely don't use all these products at the same time.

These are my three main preparation products - don't shoot me I never take a cleanser with me! I cannot be bothered to take another big bottle and I really just use water! - I always find that my Glycolic Acid Toner from Mario Badescu always does the trick at eating up all the oil on my skin from a hard day outside!

If I want a more through clean then I'll use my Kiehl's Facial Fuel Scrub it has apricot seeds in it which exfoliate your skin (not harshly and it doesn't have those bloddy awful micro beads in them!) I have a little tube that I chuck in there because this is not something to use on a daily basis. It also has a wonderful minty smell to it which will wake you up!

Once i've used my toner I'll put my serum of choice over the top and currently it is the Hydro-Plumping Re-texturizing Serum Concentrate from Kiehl's (what a mouthful) and it really does do what is says on the tin! My skin always feels so refreshed after I put this on and recently I've gotten compliments over my skin and this is the only new product... one drawback is that it is £41 which is pricey but it works so I cannot complain!

People need to stop associating SPF with just going on holiday! We are constantly bombarded by ultra violet radiation from the sun whether it is cold, hot, sunny, cloudy, rainy or snowy and we need to protect our skin! I use the Clinique one under my moisturiser because I find it isn't the best at moisturising my skin and is very goopy... Another thing that annoys me about this product is that the hole that you squeeze the product out is very wide and when opened product just goops out into the lid and dries so I'm always picking off hardened yellow slop!

My everyday/night moisturiser of choice is the Ultra Facial Cream from Kiehl's! To put my opinions simplistically it is amazing; buy it!  It is just the ultimate holy grail product for me I don't look like an oil slick after i've put it on and it nourishes my skin - no other moisturiser i've tried can match it.

I use the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment at night mainly, it is very thick and takes it time on absorbing but you'll forget what crows feet are when you put it on! I've talked about those two so much I'm just going to shut up and give you the link so that you can become a Kiehl's addict like I am.

These three are my wee saviours! Tom Ford lip balm (a bit of a luxury I'll admit) will keep your lips protected against any harsh wind and is not sticky, adsorbs quickly and has the tiniest tint to it (think your lips but better!)

One of my more recent discoveries has been the Puressentiel Calming Balm, if you've had a long day on your feet, worked too hard at the gym or ran yourself ragged and want to not get that ache then rub some of this stuff on! It is all natural and contains a blend of 14 essential oils, salicylates (these are anti inflammatory) and moisturising ingredients and these all work excellently to relax and soothe those aches and pains! I'm really enjoying using it especially after night time exercise to help me sleep as the essential oils are so calming!

'Are you sponsored by Kiehl's' I here you say, no i'm not I'm just bloddy in love with everything I get from them! This Ultimate Strength Hand Salve, it drys quickly and is not sticky, and it has a wonderful fresh smell!

Terre D'Hermès is my everyday scent, chances are if you meet me I'm wearing this. Initially it is very citrus(orange, mandarin) juicy even, then it dries down into an amazing woody but still fresh - there's the magic vetiver again! - fragrance. It lasts for ages on the skin and I'm constantly receiving compliments on it.

There we have it, that's what I have to lug around with me when I go anywhere!

Sam
